Then I check the same keys in a XP Pro and the security subkey also contains resources. So my question is: is there a component that activates the security evenlog? Any other suggestions?? Does anyone know if Sandisk Ultra II cards can be used in true IDE mode and marked non-removeable. Some of the cards I've had from other makers work in a PCMCIA or USB adapter, but not in the CF slot straight on the IDE of my embedded board.

Sandisk have sent me 2 utilities, one of which marks the older cards non-removeable.The other is for a 'different family of CF cards', but I don't know if that means Ultra II. TIA Simon • 4. After 4 days of trying to make CF work in any capacity on my target machine, I changed one setting in the BIOS and everything started working as it should. I do not know how many motherboards this applies to, but if you are having problems with CF from the get go, this may help.

Look for the following setting (or something similar) in your BIOS in regards to the IDE controllers: PCI IDE Bus Master. Set it to Disabled and see if things pick up for you. Hi all, I'm trying to use the Elo XP universal drivers version 4.40 on our product (USB). The componentized version for XP embedded one can download from the Elo website is built on their drivers version 4.20, which we can't use. Either we build an image with no reference to the Elo drivers, and then use the universal installer before sealing (which results in a BSOD with stop code 0x0000000A after cloning to another system), or I make my own component (but then I get a BSOD with the same stop code during the PnP-phase of the FBA). I tried both importing the INF files into the component designer and using Elo's 4.20 SLD file as a template.
