Ecs Rc410-m Drivers
Jul 1, 2010 - Hi I'm trying to reformat an old laptop but unfortunately I don't have the cd which contains the drivers anymore, must've lost it when we were moving. IoT Starter kit; Smart Home Kit; LoRa Gateway (GWS-BTI2-LR) GWS-QX2.
Hi, I am trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my machine but it will not start up into Windows. There's no error message or any log that I can get to so here is what I have done step by step. 1) Boot from W7 CD 2) Choose setup 3) Delete all partitions, create 2 new partitions (120gb & ~800gb) 4) Click 'Next' and wait for it to go through the process of copying, expanding and 'installing' files 5) It automatically restarts at the end of the final step and tries to continue setup 6) It gets to 'starting services' then reboots (doesn't always reach that message though) 7) Gets to the windows splash screen, stops for a while then reboots 8) Gets to the 'Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking' etc.
Screen and goes no further Safe mode cannot be used because Windows isn't fully installed (I've tried to go into them) and for the same reason I cannot 'Start Windows Normally' as it just reboots and comes back to the same menu. The 'Repair' option from the DVD doesn't work either for the same reason, Windows isn't fully installed so there isn't anything to repair. Believe this to be a hardware problem I removed my Graphics card (my mobo has onboard graphics too) but the installation still fails.
There's nothing unusual plugged in and it cannot be a hardware problem because I am posting this from the machine I am trying to install W7 on (I installed Vista Business again). I have: USB Mouse, PS2 Keyboard and a Monitor plugged in. Internally there is just the one HDD, mobo, 2GB RAM and 2.8ghz CPU. This Vista installation is 64Bit and is working which proves that my hardware can support the W7 64bit version I'm trying to install. I have searched online but there seems to be no answer to this.
I understand this will be difficult to diagnose as there's no error message but I'm hoping that someone can help. Your ECS RC410-M cross-references to and here's their offerings. Not Windows 7. The HP driver listings are usually under their PC models. Here's one that uses an RC410-M motherboard: This has a different mainboard name, though, although it's another RC410-M.
There's not a lot there, though. It suggests that the ATI RC410 chipset on the board had built-in support under Vista (both 32 and 64 bit). Perhaps the support wasn't carried over to Windows 7. I'd be disappointed, though, if the Upgrade Advisor failed to detect that issue. If you do a Web search for drivers, be wary of bioticaindia. I've been told that it's a scam site, although Google has done nothing to prevent them from popping up near the top of any driver search results.
Hi Grits - What I am doing is legitimate. I have obtained both Win7 and Vista from my company's MAPS subscription. I am the developer and had intended to use Win7 myself to see how it was and whether there was any reason for us to upgrade from XP. When you download the ISO from MAPS it asks what version you want and I selected 64Bit. I removed the proposal to mark your post as the answer because I felt that that lack of evidence neither proves nor disproves Win7 support. I would like to at least get to an error message saying what went wrong during the install if there is such a log. Hi Bubba - Vista is from our MAPS subscription.
The only original components on this machine are the motherboard and CPU. I have changed everything else including the case so this is no longer a 'HP' machine in as far as I highly doubt HP would take any responsibility for it. I haven't seen any option to disable on board graphics but I will give that a try today and report back.
Thanks for the suggestion. The BIOS has no option to turn off the integrated graphics. Crack Dan Serial Number Corel Draw X4. The 'Primary Video' is set to PCI which I believe it auto-detects as whatever is plugged in when it boots. It had an option for on board TV out which I changed from NTSC to Pal. When I tried the W7 partition again it got as far as asking me to select my region & language but on clicking next it did something for a while then just rebooted and gives me the message that Windows did not start properly only this time it gave me a menu that had the start up repair app recommended. Oddly, after W7 set up failed again I tried to come back to the Vista partition to post but this had a BSOD during boot up (during the splash screen) but when I selected last known good config Vista worked.
