Avery Labels Template 5168
Go to Tools Envelopes and Labels (or, in Word 2002 or 2003, Tools Letters and Mailings Envelopes and Labels). On the Labels tab, click Options. And select 'Avery standard.' Scroll down to 5168, select it, and click OK. Click New Document. This will give you a full sheet of labels. They're set up as a table, so make sure you have table gridlines displayed (Table Show Gridlines) so you can see the label boundaries.

Could someone point me in the right direction please? Go to 'Tools' on your toolbar. Click on 'Letters and Mailings' if you have Word 2003. If earlier version, click on 'Envelopes and Labels'. The dialog box will have two tabs. Select 'Labels'. Then click on 'Options' and then select the brand of label (Avery).
The label options will appear in the window - scroll till you find the correct number. Highlight it. Then click 'New Document' on the same window that you clicked 'options' on. This will open a document with the template in it.
(If you can't see the gridlines, go to 'Table' on your toolbar, and click 'Show gridlines'. There you go! 'btjack67' wrote: Well, I need a template for the Avery 5168 mailing label, and haven't been able to find one. Could someone point me in the right direction please?
In Word 2002, I had set up the above template to use as shipping labels for large envelopes, packages, etc. I put a text box in each lower right corner of each label (4) for users to input the shipping address. We recently installed Office 2007, and the text box and the information in the text box will not print or show up on print preview. My information (logo, return address, etc) is there in the upper left corner of each cell, and the text box is there, but it is not when you preview and print.
I have made sure that the text box is moved forward, checked my printing options, and I am at a loss as to what little piece I am missing to make these text boxes show up. Thanks for your help Sheila. I figured it out, when you preview, go to options, and on the display menu, the print drawings box must be checked.
